Synopsis Bugged
is a short, animated comedy series about anarchy and absurdism, themes that
reflect the confusion that many people feel when confronted with the modern
world. Following the surreal lives
of a group of insects, arthropods and other creepy crawlies who share a house in
Surbiton, Bugged is the alternative view of insect life that David
Attenborough didn't want you to see. Each
episode is told in flashback through the eyes of the main character Karl, a
neurotic housefly as he visits his psychiatrist. The
supporting cast, who live with Karl and generally multiply his troubles, are
also bugs: Karen, a timid daddy long-legs who works as a cleaner at the local
school; Chas, a fat and lazy PlayStation-addicted centipede and Phil, an
aggressive caterpillar who works as a bouncer at a local nightclub. In
every episode, a surreal special guest appears who will go on to cause trouble
for the housemates, be it French Martians, or an underfed sofa. The
pilot episode plays out Karl's determination for vengeance, when he is horrified
to discover that his sausages are missing...
