Episode 2 - 'Bob has left the building...'
The show is introduced by a troupe of travelling Elvis impersonators complaining about video game violence.
Karl discovers that his psychiatrist thinks his name is 'Bob'. This infuriates Karl who goes through a large panic as to how to let him know; does he risk telling him now and admit that the only man he thought knew him is no more familiar with him than the strange man at the newsagents who always asks how his husband is.
In the meantime, Karl returns home to discover that Phil has rented his room out to a group of travelling Elvis impersonators, who are staying in town for the week. 'They're very good' says Phil proudly.
Chas is most confused, as identical people run havoc in the house...
Karen introduces Karl to her new boyfriend Karlos. She hopes that by playing hard to get and being with Karlos, she will win Karl over. Karlos is a Spanish fly and Karl has an instant dislike to him. Karen happily assumes this to be green-eyed jealousy, but it is just because Karlos is a few grains of rice short of a paella.
Karl complains to Chas about his psychiatrist thinking he's called Bob, and Chas gets even more confused, asking who Bob is.
Karl goes to his psychiatrist, trying to convince him his name isn't Bob. This only convinces his psychiatrist that he's totally crazy and he needs sedating. The sedation is only prevented by Karlos suddenly bursting in and challenging Karl to a duel over Karen. Karl says he doesn't want Karen. The psychiatrist asks Karl how long he's believed that he's called Karen. Karl storms out angrily.
On his way home Karl stops in at the newsagent. The newsagent asks him how his husband is. Karl attacks the newsagent and is brutally beaten.
Chas gets Karl and Karlos desperately confused further adding to Karl's irritation. Chas starts going cross-eyed, frothing at the mouth and asking who Bob is.
Karl decides that he needs to break into his psychiatrist's office and change his notes with an eloquent autobiography. All he needs is something to distract the psychiatrist. He looks around the room thoughtfully, first at a spatula, then a large book of amusing anecdotes, then at the troupe of traveling Elvis impersonators singing 'You Ain't Nothing But A Hound Dog' in unison, then at a lamp, then back to the Elvises.
Karl's psychiatrist is having a session with Karlos, and is scribbling the word 'Crazy' over 'Bob's' notes when suddenly the Elvis impersonators burst into his office and each one starts singing a different Elvis song at the same time. The psychiatrist tries to usher them out and while he's distracted Karl sneaks around and starts rifling through the files looking for his own one.
The mad scene is made even more so by the sudden appearance of Chas, dressed like Rambo, armed with a machine gun, who guns down all the Elvises and Karlos, screaming 'Kill the impostors' and then leaves just as suddenly as he entered. The psychiatrist looks confused for a moment then shrugs and turns round to find Karl staring guiltily at him with his a file in his hand. The psychiatrist asks him, rather guardedly, 'What are you doing Bob?'
